Elionurus tripsacoides Humboldt & Bonpland ex Willdenow. Common name: Pan-American Balsamscale. Phenology: May-Nov. Habitat: Low sandy pine rocklands, pine savannas. Distribution: S. GA south to s. FL, west to s. and w. TX, and south through Central America to s. South America. Reported for sw. GA by Jones & Coile (1988), for s. MS and FL (Sorrie & Leonard 1999), and from s. AL (Baldwin County) (C. Oberholster & W. Barger, pers.comm., 2024).
