*Elymus repens (Linnaeus) Gould. Common name: Quackgrass, Dog-grass, Witchgrass, Couchgrass, Quitchgrass. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Roadsides, disturbed areas, pastures. Distribution: Native of Eurasia (sometimes considered to be partially native along the coast).

Taxonomy Comments: POWO (2024) accepts 5 subspecies; only ssp. repens is known to have become established in North America.
