Eragrostis spectabilis (Pursh) Steudel. Common name: Purple Lovegrass, Tumblegrass. Phenology: Aug-Nov. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, pine flatwoods, other dry woodlands, sandy fields, roadsides. Distribution: ME west to ND, south to s. FL, TX, and n. Mexico.
