Eryngium

not marked as a favorite taxon *Eryngium foetidum Linnaeus. Common name: Spiritweed, Mexican Coriander, Culantro. Phenology: Jun-Aug. Habitat: Disturbed uplands. Distribution: Native of Mexico, Central America, South America, and West Indies; rare waif in s. FL. This species is also cultivated as a culinary herb throughout the southern portion of our region.
