Eupatorium fernaldii Godfrey. Common name: Fernald’s Eupatorium. Phenology: Aug-Sep. Habitat: Dry to mesic woodlands and roadbanks. Distribution: Sw. NC, nw. SC, and ne. GA; perhaps more widespread.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: This species is an apomictic species derived from E. perfoliatum × petaloideum × sessilifolium (Schilling 2011a).

Synonymy : = K4, Schilling (2011a); = Eupatorium album L. var. monardifolium (Fernald) — F, in part, misapplied; = n/a — RAB; < Eupatorium album L. var. vaseyi (Porter) Cronquist — FNA21; < Eupatorium sessilifolium L. var. vaseyi (Porter) Fernald & Griscom, in part, misapplied; < Eupatorium vaseyi Porter, in part, misapplied.
