Eupatorium compositifolium Walter. Common name: Coastal Dog-fennel, Yankeeweed. Phenology: Sep-Dec. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, sandy disturbed areas, exposed riverbanks and drawdown zones. Distribution: Ne. NC south to s. FL, west to se. OK and TX.
Origin/Endemic status: Endemic
Other Comments: This species, like E. capillifolium, is an excellent indicator of soil disturbance.
