Habitat: Maritime hammocks, rockland hammocks, mesic hammocks, pine rocklands, coastal berms, shell mounds. Distribution: Florida peninsula (Volusia County on the east coast and Collier County on the west coast southwards); West Indies; ne. Mexico southwards (Campeche, Chiapas, Colima, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Quintana Roo, Tamaulipas, Veracruz), Central America.
