not marked as a favorite taxon Fimbristylis vahlii (Lamarck) Link. Phenology: Jul. Habitat: Mudflats along rivers or reservoirs, also in sandy disturbed areas. Distribution: Primarily from Missouri south to Mississippi and e. Texas, but with scattered outliers as far away as New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, and Kansas; also in western United States, Mexico (Coahuila, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Veracruz), Central America.
