*Hibiscus trionum Linnaeus. Section: Trionum. Common name: Flower-of-an-Hour, Venice Mallow, Bladder Ketmia. Phenology: Jun-Sep. Habitat: Fields, roadsides, railroad yards, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Europe or Africa. Reported for Ware County, GA (Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009).
Origin/Endemic status: Mediterranean Europe and Africa
Taxonomy Comments: There is substantial question about the taxonomic treatment of the H. trionum complex and the identity of the species (singular or plural) naturalized in e. North America (Craven et al. 2011; Murray, Craven, & de Lange 2008).
