Hymenocallis henryae Traub. Common name: Henry's Spiderlily, Liberty Spiderlily, Blue Spiderlily, Green Spiderlily. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Cypress depressions and wet pine flatwoods. Distribution: Endemic to Bay, Gulf, Liberty, and Walton counties in the FL Panhandle.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Two varieties have often been recognized: var. glaucifolia (growing in dense to loose clonal patches, leaves with heavy glaucescence, tepals to 16 cm long, and distribution west of the Apalachicola River) and var. henryae (growing singly or in loose clonal patches, leaves green or with light glaucescence, tepals to 13 cm long, and distribution west of the Apalachicola River). Vogel, Moore, & Negrón-Ortiz (2024) found little genetic diversity in the species, and no apparent genetic differentiation between the two varieties. It seems best to drop the varietal distinction.
