Hypoxis

Hypoxis wrightii (Baker) Brackett. Common name: Bristleseed Stargrass. Phenology: Mar-Apr (-later, especially in response to fire); Apr-May (-later, especially in response to fire). Habitat: Wet pine savannas. Distribution: Se. VA south to s. FL, west to TX; disjunct in the West Indies (Cuba, Bahamas, Jamaica, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico).
