Imperata brasiliensis Trinius. Brazilian Satintail, Brazilian Blady-grass. Phen: Feb-May. Hab: Pine rocklands, mesic flatwoods. Native and relatively conservative in its s. FL habitat. Dist: S. FL; West Indies and other parts of the Neotropics. In our area, Burrell et al. (2015) found evidence of this taxon only in s. FL.

Synonymy : = Bah, FNA25, HC, K1, K3, K4, Mex, S, S13; = Imperata cylindrica (L.) P.Beauv. var. mexicana (Rupr.) D.B.Ward – Ward (2004c); < Imperata cylindrica (L.) P.Beauv. – FlGr, Hall (1998)
