not marked as a favorite taxon Ionopsis utricularioides (Swartz) Lindley. Common name: Delicate Ionopsis, Delicate Violet Orchid, Dancing Ladies, Angelitos. Phenology: (Dec-) Mar-Apr. Habitat: Epiphytic on small branches and twigs of trees (especially Salix caroliniana) in cypress swamps and on Annona glabra in sloughs. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies; Mexico, Central America and South America.
