Ipomoea violacea Linnaeus. Common name: Beach Moonflower, Moonvine. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Coastal strands and dunes, maritime hammocks. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies, s. Mexico, Central America, and n. South America.
