*Lagascea mollis Cavanilles. Common name: Silkleaf. Habitat: Disturbed areas (on ballast), not recently collected. Distribution: Native of Mexico (but now pantropical). Collected at Apalachicola, Franklin County, FL by A.W. Chapman in the 1850s, and previously also in FL by Ferdinand Rugel.
Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
