not marked as a favorite taxon Leucospora multifida (Michaux) Nuttall. Common name: Leucospora, Narrowleaf Paleseed, Obi-Wan Conobea. Phenology: May-Oct. Habitat: Moist to wet, sandy margins of artificial ponds, drawdown areas on riverbanks, streambanks, drawdown depressional wetlands, other seasonally ponded disturbed areas, probably introduced in some of our area from c. United States. Distribution: S. Ontario west to Iowa and Kansas, south to nw. Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, and e. Texas; scattered occurrences farther east (as in e. North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and se. Pennsylvania) may be recent introductions. Reported for e. South Carolina (E. Ungberg, pers.comm., 2024).
