Matelea alabamensis (Vail) Woodson. Common name: Alabama Milkvine, Alabama Spinypod. Phenology: (Mar-) Apr-Jun; Jun-Dec. Habitat: Open forests on river bluffs, mesic margins of sand ridges. Distribution: Sw. and apparently se. GA, Panhandle FL, and s. AL.
