Nekemias arborea (Linnaeus) J. Wen & Boggan. Common name: Peppervine. Phenology: Jun-Oct; Sep-Oct. Habitat: Swamp forests, marsh, wet thickets, moist to wet maritime forest. Distribution: Se. VA (and MD?) south to s. FL, west to TX, north in the interior to s. IL and sw. WV.
