Polygonella

Polygonella polygama (Ventenat) Engelmann & A. Gray. Common name: Common October-flower. Phenology: Jun-Oct; Sep-Nov. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, other dry sandy habitats. Distribution: Se. VA south to s. FL, west to se. TX (perhaps absent in GA). P. polygamum occurs in the outer Coastal Plain of VA and NC, extending into the middle Coastal Plain and fall-line Sandhills in SC (Richland, Lexington, and Aiken counties, SC).
