*Pombalia attenuata (Humboldt & Bonpland ex Willdenow) Paula-Souza. Common name: Western Green-violet. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Disturbed areas, avocado groves, citrus groves, guava groves, along roadsides; recently discovered and now well established in Miami-Dade Co., FL. Distribution: Native of s. AZ and Mexico to c. South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
