*Pombalia attenuata (Humboldt & Bonpland ex Willdenow) Paula-Souza. Western Green-violet. Phen: Jan-Dec. Hab: Disturbed areas, avocado groves, citrus groves, guava groves, along roadsides; recently discovered and now well established in Miami-Dade Co., FL. Dist: Native of s. AZ and Mexico to c. South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Taxonomy Comments: Misidentified as P. linearifolia in s. FL.

Synonymy : = K4; >< Hybanthus linearifolius (Vahl) Urb. – Fl2, FNA6, WH3, misapplied; >< Pombalia linearifolia (Vahl) Paula-Souza – Paula-Souza & Ballard (2014), misapplied
