Randia aculeata Linnaeus var. aculeata . Common name: White Indigoberry, Inkberry, Box Briar. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Hammocks, pine rocklands, coastal strands, disturbed areas. Distribution: S. and c. peninsular FL; West Indies; Mexico, Central America, and South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Var. jamaicensis (Sprengel) C.D. Adams is endemic to Jamaica.
