Rhynchospora punctata Elliott. Common name: Pineland Beaksedge. Habitat: Wet pine savannas, pitcherplant bogs. Distribution: S. GA south to ne. FL.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: This is a very rare species of Rhynchospora punctata known from a small number of collections in s. GA and ne. FL (where it is historical). The only collections from the past 20 years are from Coffee County, GA.

Synonymy : = FNA23, GW1, K4, NS, POWO, WH3, Gale (1944), McMillan (2007); = Rynchospora punctata — S, S13. Basionym: Rhynchospora punctata Elliott 1816
