*Saccharum spontaneum Linnaeus. Wild Sugarcane. Phen: Oct-Jan. Hab: Disturbed areas, lake edges, especially around Lake Okeechobee in vicinity of sugarcane fields. Dist: Native of tropical Asia and Africa.

Origin/Endemic status: E. and se. Asia

Other Comments: Potential naturalization of this species is considered a threat to the sugarcane industry.
