Schizachyrium tenerum Nees. Common name: Slender Bluestem, Liedown Grass. Phenology: Jul-Nov. Habitat: Longleaf pine savannas, sandhills, and flatwoods. Distribution: S. GA, ne. FL, and FL Panhandle west to e. TX; Mexico, Central America, to South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
