*Scleria eggersiana Boeckeler. Common name: Eggers's Nutrush. Habitat: Strand swamps. Distribution: Native of the West Indies (Lesser Antilles, Greater Antilles, including Puerto Rico); Mexico, Central America, and South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics
