Flowers: Flowers single to several on short stalks arising from leaf axils, light yellow to orange-yellow, 1/3 in. wide, consisting of 5 floppy, asymmetric petals and a fused column of 5 styles and numerous stamens.
Fruits: Fruit a ring of about 5 joined pod-like, kidney-shaped segments, each with 2 beaks, the ring surrounded by persistent, triangular calyx lobes.
