not marked as a favorite taxon Solidago brachyphylla Chapman. Common name: Dixie Goldenrod. Phenology: Sep-Nov. Habitat: Open woodlands, bluff forests. Distribution: South Carolina south to ne. Florida and Panhandle Florida, west to s. Alabama (s. Mississippi?). A report from North Carolina is based on a misidentified specimen.
