not marked as a favorite taxon Spartina bakeri Merrill. Common name: Sand Cordgrass. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Brackish marshes, marsh edges, also wet coastal hammocks under Sabal palmetto, Quercus virginiana, and Juniperus silicicola. Distribution: Se. SC south to s. FL, west to Panhandle FL.
