not marked as a favorite taxon *Striga gesnerioides (Willdenow) Vatke. Common name: Cowpea Witchweed, Tobacco Witchweed. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Cultivated fields, parasitic on Fabaceae (specifically Indigofera hirsuta and Alysicarpus ovalifolius in our area). Distribution: Native of the Old World.
