Thalassia testudinum Banks & Solander ex K.D. Koenig. Common name: Turtlegrass. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Seagrass beds in estuarine waters. Distribution: E. coast of c. peninsular FL (Indian River County) to s. FL, north along the west coast of FL to the Panhandle, west to TX, thence south through Mexico and Central America to South America; West Indies.
