Trichocentrum undulatum (Swartz) Ackerman & M.W. Chase. Common name: Spotted Mule-eared Orchid, Mule-ear Oncidium. Phenology: Apr-May (-Sep). Habitat: Epiphytic in mangrove swamps, buttonwood hammocks, tropical hammocks, cypress swamps, salt marsh/buttonwood hammock ecotones. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies; Central America and South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Other Comments: Melanagromyza miamensis (a native fly), and Diaspis boisduvalii (a widespread tropical scale), can affect plants of this species (and other Orchidaceae and Arecaceae) in s. FL (Ray et al. 2012).
