not marked as a favorite taxon Tridens flavus (Linnaeus) A.S. Hitchcock. Common name: Redtop, Tall Redtop, Purpletop Tridens, Greasy Grass. Phenology: Mar-Nov. Habitat: Roadsides, disturbed areas, glades, barrens. Distribution: New Hampshire west to Nebraska, south to s. Florida and Texas.
