Stems: Stems branched, hairy.
Leaves: Leaves alternate; on short, hairy petioles with a pair of tiny stipules at the base; divided into 3 elliptic-oblong leaflets, each 1/2-1 in. long and sparsely silky-hairy.
Inforescence:
Flowers: Flowers densely clustered in pinkish-gray, fuzzy-hairy cylindrical heads, 1/2-1 1/2 in. long, at ends of branches and from leaf axils. Each flower about 1/4 in. long; bilaterally symmetric; consisting of a white corolla of 5 petals, a greenish-red calyx with 5 bristly lobes, several inserted stamens, and a pistil with a single style.
Fruits: Fruit an oval pod.
