Vachellia farnesiana (Linnaeus) Wight & Arnott. Common Sweet Acacia, Huisache, Opoponax, Cashia, Aroma, Cassie, Yellow Opopanax. Phen: Jan-Dec. Hab: Sandy flats on barrier islands, maritime scrub, shell middens. Dist: E. GA, along the coast, south to s. FL; the GA occurrence appears native (see Duncan 1985); Bahamas; West Indies.
