*Echinodorus grandiflorus (Chamisso & Schlechtendal) Micheli. Common name: Large Burhead. Habitat: Swamps. Distribution: Native of South America.

Origin/Endemic status: South America

Taxonomy Comments: E. floridanus was named as an endemic of Escambia County, FL (Haynes & Burkhalter 1998), but has been determined to be conspecific with E. grandiflorus of South America and almost certainly a relatively recent introduction (Lehtonen 2008, 2009).
