Galactia erecta (Walter) Vail. Common name: Erect Milkpea. Phenology: Apr-Jul; Jul-Sep. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills. Distribution: Se. NC south to Panhandle FL, west to e. TX.
ID notes: "Galactia erecta is distinct in its erect habit, slender rhizomes, subsessile leaflets, and flowers in axillary-sessile clusters" (Nesom 2015).
