*Gamochaeta impatiens Nesom. Common name: Elegant Cudweed. Phenology: Mar-Jul. Habitat: Sandy roadsides, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of South America.

Origin/Endemic status: South America

Taxonomy Comments: Nesom (2022b) demonstrated that what has been previously identified in North America as G. coarctata is actually a different species, G. impatiens. Freire et al. (2024) considered G. impatiens to be within the range of variation of Gamochaeta americana.
