*Hibiscus syriacus Linnaeus. Section: Hibiscus. Common name: Rose-of-Sharon, Shrubby Althaea. Phenology: Jun-Sep; Aug-Oct. Habitat: Escaped or persistent after cultivation, often spreading by rhizomes. Distribution: Native of e. Asia.
