Hordeum pusillum Nuttall. Little Barley. Phen: Apr-Jun. Hab: Roadsides, fields, pastures, ditches, disturbed areas. Dist: Probably restricted to west of the Mississippi River a few centuries ago, but now present (and in many areas common) throughout a broad portion of the United States, from ME west to WA south to n. FL, s. TX, CA, and Mexico.

Origin/Endemic status: Native
