*Kalanchoe daigremontiana Raymond-Hamet & H. Perrier. Subgenus: Bryophyllum. Common name: Maternity Plant, Devil’s Backbone, Alligator-plant, Mother-of-millions. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Madagascar. Barger et al. (2012) describe the first naturalizing population in AL; McNair, Alford, & Turnbull (2014) describe its naturalization in Orleans Parish, LA.

Origin/Endemic status: Subsaharan Africa

Synonymy : = Bah, Fl2, K4, WH3; = Bryophyllum daigremontianum (Raym.-Hamet & H.Perrier) A.Berger — FNA8; = n/a — RAB. Basionym: Kalanchoe daigremontiana Raym.-Hamet & H.Perrier 1914
