Other Comments: Var. arizonica McVaugh is distributed in mesic canyons in montane w. TX, s. CO, NM, and AZ, south into w. Mexico. Var. mexicana McVaugh is distributed in Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas, and Guatemala.
