Luziola bahiensis (Steudel) A.S. Hitchcock. Common name: Brazilian Water Grass. Phenology: Jun-Oct (-May). Habitat: Streams and riverbanks. Distribution: Apparently native (Anderson & Hall 1993), but considered native only of South America by some authors.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = FlGr, FNA24, HC, K4, S, WH3, Martínez-y-Pérez, Mejía-Saulés, & Sosa (2008); > Luziola alabamensis Chapm. — S13; Caryochloa bahiensis Steudel. Basionym: Caryochloa bahiensis Steud. 1855
