plant sale text: Broad beech fern adds a very nice delicate texture to any shade garden. The fronds are a deep green, slightly hairy, and broadly triangular in form. This fern does well in dappled sunlight, but can also flourish in shade. The broad beach fern prefers acidic soils with lots of organic matter. In the fall this plant has a nice yellowish hue that makes it stand out among the ferns.
