Physalis angustifolia Nuttall. Common name: Coastal Ground-cherry. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Maritime dunes and coastal sands, longleaf pine sandhills. Distribution: Gulf Coast shorelines from S. FL west to s. LA. Reports of P. viscosa from the Southeast are based on either P. angustifolia or P. walteri.
