Potamogeton illinoensis Morong. Common name: Illinois Pondweed. Phenology: Apr-Sep. Habitat: Calcareous waters of rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds, spring-fed ponds, spring-fed branches and rivers, sawgrass sloughs, interdune ponds and marshes. Distribution: QC west to NT and s. BC, south to s. FL, TX, CA, Mexico, and Central America.
