Pteris bahamensis (J.G. Agardh) Fée. Subgenus: Pteris. Section: Pteris. Common name: Bahama Ladder Brake, Bahama Brake. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Pine rocklands, rockland hammocks, limestone sinkholes, marl prairies, disturbed areas. Distribution: S. FL; Bahamas.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: Sometimes treated as included within or a variety of P. longifolia, but distinct in morphology and ploidy.

Other Comments: Hybridizes with P. vittata, producing P. ×delchampsii.
