Scaevola plumieri (Linnaeus) Vahl. Common name: Beachberry, Inkberry, Gull-feed, Black Soap, Mad Moll. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Coastal dunes, marsh edges. Distribution: N. peninsular FL south to s. FL; s. LA; s. TX south through Mexico into Central and South America; West Indies.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = Bah, Fl7, K4, Mex, S, Tx, WH3, WI, Zhang, Zhang, & Endress (2003); Lobelia plumieri Linnaeus. Basionym: Lobelia plumieri L. 1753
