*Solanum torvum Swartz. Common name: Turkey-berry. Phenology: Jan-Dec. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of West Indies. Introduced in AL. MS report is from Weed Science Laboratory.

ID notes: Solanum torvum is a shrub or small tree (to 4 m tall), armed with straight to recurved brown prickles 3-7 mm long.
