*Vitex negundo Linnaeus. Common name: Chinese Chaste-tree. Phenology: Jun-Jul; Aug-Nov. Habitat: Disturbed areas, road shoulders. Distribution: Native of China. Reported for FL, MS, LA, KY, with uncertain documentation. See Barger et al. (2012) for additional discussion of this species in AL.

Taxonomy Comments: It is unclear what varieties are naturalizing in our region. The varieties may warrant recognition (see Chen & Gilbert 1994).
