Commelina virginica Linnaeus. Virginia Dayflower. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Bottomlands, swamp forests, tidal swamp forests, other moist to wet forests and forest edges. Dist: NJ west to KS and OK, south to FL and TX.

ID notes: Our most robust species of Commelina.
